Team work has been described as   a better way to achieve positive result at the work place, even as it is also said to promote good working relationship between management and staff.

The Site Manager of Stemco Limited, Airport Yard, Mr. Elie Bitar, said this while speaking with newsmen at the site last Friday.

He said team work produces better result than when staffs are operating individually and independently.

Bitar recalled  how much the site could improve before he resumed duty some six weeks ago, saying  the grouping  of the workers into different task forces has produced a tremendous  output.

The Stemco manager noted that the task forces which has different workers from various units did not only ensured safety, but also increased work speed.

“It wasn’t  easy when we started, but everyone has to cooporate, we achieve a lot when we work as a team”, he said.

According  to him, the task forces also took  care of the  Yard which was in messy when he  resumed duty, as well as created parking slots which the place also lacked.

He pointed out that he commenced  picking some debris at the work place himself  from what he described as special areas, which he said took them about 20 days, to tidy it up.

He also said that no one is above the rule as it concerns cleanliness of the work place, adding that the result achieved so far, will be sustained.

Bitar attributed the traffic situation in the state as one of his greatest challenges as he  spends about two hours before arrival  at the site close to Airport Hotel in Ikwerre Local Government.

On staff  welfare, he said it is handled based on Nigerian policies.

Other workers who spoke like the women  in charge of Gender Equality Unit, Mrs Comfort Asibor, said the women can now flow with their male counterparts at work, since Bitar created the gender equality unit.

Landlord to the company, Chief Augustus Nwonodi, however, lauded the Stemco General  Manager Engr. Gabriel Bitar for his ability to  spread employment among his people
