Dolphins FC of  were yesterday at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt denied maximum points in the week five fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) against Sunshine Stars of Akure after battling to a 1-1 draw.

The visitors opened scoring in the 31st minute through Jonah Christian and Dolphins, 1-0 losers to ABS FC in week four, restored parity in the second half through Fred Okwara.

Efforts to secure the winner subsequently could not produce result and both teams shared the spoils.

It was a second successive poor home result  for Rivers teams in the Premier League after Dolphins’ Sister Club, Sharks, lost 0-1 at home to Kwara United last weekend.

In some of the other week five matches played yesterday, Sharks’ poor run continued with a 2-0 reverse in Gombe against Gombe United, while Enyimba International secured 1-1 result away to premier league new comers, Nembe City FC.

On Sunday, however, it will be a derby battle as Sharks FC hosts Dolphins in a week six fixture.  Clashes between the two sister clubs have always been explosive and the impending one would not be different.

In fact, it has the potential to be the star match of the week.

It is expected that both teams would rise above their respective poor early form in the season to produce a spectacular display.

The pressure is certainly on Sharks to list their game and avoid dropping points for the fourth successive match.
