The National President of Youths Enhancement Organisation, Mr Obinna Egbuka, has advised Nigerian leaders to show more commitment to service and good leadership.

Addressing the youths of Imo at the opening of a two-day seminar organised by the organisation in Owerri last  Saturday, Egbuka said that most Nigerian leaders were not committed to serve the people.

He said that such people arrived at the leadership position unprepared and by accident.

Egbuka challenged the government, at all levels, to checkmate the high level of unemployment in the country, saying that leadership was about making positive impacts in the society and being service oriented.

He urged the youth not to lose focus and challenged them on talent discovery by engaging in skills acquisition.

The Director of Imo State Orientation Agency, Mr Romson Udo, also advised participants on the need for self discovery.

“It is only when one discovers himself that his potentials can be discovered.”

Udo urged the youth to avail themselves of the opportunity of the skills acquisition arm of the seminar to enrich their knowledge.

Our correspodent reports that over 500 youths participated in the skills acquisition session of the seminar.

A participant, Mr Eleanor Amahiri, said the programme was befitting, adding that he would develop the skills he acquired from the programme.
