Anambra Awards Contract For N7bn Road Projects
The Anambra State Government has awarded N7 billion contract for the construction of four roads in the state.
The state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Chief Joe-martins Uzodike, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Awka on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting.
Uzodike said the roads are: 11.2 kilometer Atani-Ozubulu awarded at N5 billion and the rehabilitation of Nwafor Orizu College of Education Gate Road to Nsugbe Express Road valued at N1 billion.
He said the others include Nkwo market square Road at Umuoji Micro-finance Bank-Ekeagu-Abatete, N830 million and PHCN Road, Awada in Onitsha, N490 million.
The commissioner said all the contracts were to be completed within 15 months
He appealed to the contractors to complete the projects within the time frame to enable the State Government to achieve the aim for which they were approved.
