The sacked workers of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)have protested against their sack by the Commission Management.

The protesters took their protest to the entrance of the National Assembly Abuja by blocking the entrance into the National Assembly complex.

The management of the National Identity Management Commission had sacked over 4,000 workers in 2012 allegedly for their inability to meet up with a six-year period of grace given to them to acquire university education.

The Tide investigation revealed that the protesting workers arrived at the National Assembly Complex very early in the morning before workers of the assembly resumed duty.

The recent protest by the sacked workers on Tuesday was the third in the last three months that the sacked workers would be staging a protest at the assembly complex to draw the attention of the Legislators to their plights.

Meanwhile, the House of Representative has appealed to the President Goodluck Jonathan to prevail on the Federal Civil Service Commission to re-absorb the sacked workers into other ministries departments and agencies.
