Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, says his administration will continue to partner with the French cultural centre, Alliance Francaise, in bridging gaps in managing educational systems in the state.

Governor Amaechi said this yesterday when the French Consul General in Lagos, Mr. Francois Sastourne, visited him in Government House, Port Harcourt.

Represented by his Deputy, Engr. Tele Ikuru, Governor Amaechi stated that “we are partners with you in Alliance Francaise, we’ll continue to be partners. This partnership is caused by the gaps we noticed in the management of educational institutions across the state,” reaffirming the government’s commitment to human capital development. “We will never allow any gap in the development of education because we believe that education is the bedrock of any society”, he noted.

Governor Amaechi, who is also the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), restated that human capital development, security, infrastructure, transparency and good governance remain his administration’s policy thrust.
