Road Accident Claims Four Lives In Enugu
Four persons have been confirmed dead while no fewer than eleven persons sustained various degrees of injuries in a ghastly motor accident that occurred at Nkwo Ezeagu in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State along Enugu – Onitsha Expressway.
Eye-witnesses told our correspondent that the mishap which occurred about 9.00pm last Monday involved a DAF Truck with registration No XA805 FUN, which collided with a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number XZ 192 ENU.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Enugu State Command, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed that four persons died in the accident.
He further disclosed that the remains of the victims of the accident had already been deposited at “Our Saviour” Hospital mortuary 9th Mile corner Ngwo, near Enugu.
According to him, the injured victims were swiftly taken to Unity Hospital, Ngwo for medical attention shortly after the accident, adding that the names of the victims were yet to be ascertained.
