Co-ordinator Tasks Corps Members On Community Service

The Coordinator of the NYSC in Enugu State, Mr Hillary Nasamu, on Tuesday charged corps members to demonstrate high degree of patriotism and community service.

Speaking with newsmen in Enugu, Nasamu reminded the corps members that their parents and government had invested resources to train them up to graduate levels and that the country demanded a reciprocal gesture.

The coordinator also called on them to serve their host communities diligently to justify their service period and commended the effort and responsiveness of the current corps members in the state to their various community development service.

He expressed the happiness of the NYSC management with the comportment, commitment and general attitude of the corps members, saying it was worthy of emulation by others.

According to him, the present corps members had boosted the moral of the NYSC staff in the state, saying that they would be remembered for their contribution to nation-building.

“The scheme is ever ready for the corps members by giving them the best that will build them to face the challenges ahead on completion of their service year,’’ he said.

The coordinator said the preparation for the upcoming orientation camp was in progress and that the scheme was ready to meet the demands of the corps members.
