Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka has described the purported plan by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to hire a foreign technical adviser as disgusting.

Amiesimaka who stated this while reacting to the withdrawal of Coach Stephen Keshi’s resignation in a telephone interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt yesterday said that Keshi’s resignation threat as well as the withdrawal had shown that he  would not take such embarrassment from NFF.

Chief Adokiye, a one-time chairman of Sharks FC Management Board and Ex-international expressed happiness with the achievement of Coach Keshi, adding that it has proved that Nigeria does not need the so-called foreign technical adviser.

He said that Keski needs continued support of NFF, Nigerians and good environment to succeed in future.

Also,  a former Super Eagles Head Coach, Paul Hamilton yesterday said that Stephen Keshi’s decision to rescind his resignation as coach of the national team was a step in the right direction.

Hamilton told newsmen in Lagos that Keshi deserved the respect of all Nigerians because of his monumental achievements with the national team.

It would be recalled that Keshi had announced his resignation soon after winning the Orange AFCON trophy in South Africa.

“The coach has done well he has brought smiles to the faces of Nigerians by winning a trophy that had eluded us for 19 years.

“Therefore, I am happy that he has decided to reconsider the situation and continue. It is a significant decision and I wish him the best,” he said.

The former coach told Tidesports that he was very happy over the inclusion of five of the country’s players in the CAF/AFCON best eleven team.

“The boys performed well, I am excited that CAF has recognised their contributions in the tournament and they deserve it.

“The CAF committee has done justice to it, and I believe it will go a long way in bringing the best out of our players,” Hamilton added.
