TUC Assures Workers Of Better Years Ahead
The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Rivers State Council has assured workers, ordinary people and government of Rivers State of better years ahead.
The assurance was given by the TUC State Chairman Comrade Chika Onuegbu while speaking to The Tide in Port Harcourt on New Year day.
Comrade Onuegbu used the opportunity of the new year 2013 to assure all Nigerians that TUC would continue to be on the side of truth and justice.
He said, “TUC will in line with our tradition continue to fight for the improvement in the standard of living of the Nigerian workers and ordinary Nigerians who are buffeted with all manure of challenges.
Comrade Onuegbu said the daily challenges facing the workers and ordinary Nigerians will soon be a thing of the past through their day to day struggle for survival.
The Labour leader said the union will continue to be committed and focused on the straggle in the years ahead.
Comrade Onuegbu urged Nigerians to be united against oppression, injustice, corruption poverty, terrorism and bad governance.
He said the Labour monument believed that the only solution to Nigeria’s problems is the united struggle of the ordinary people against these evils and their perpetrators.
The state chairman TUC said the organised labour is confident that if all truly Nigerians united in a common struggle for a better Nigeria in the years ahead, Nigeria shall be great.
The Labour leader solicited for the understanding, cooperation and effort of all Nigerians towards the great task ahead to better Nigeria.
