Super Eagles Pocket Guinness’ $10,000
Nigerian national team’s sponsors Guinness has promised the squad USD$5,000 for every goal they score at the Africa Cup of Nations from now.
Nigeria have struggled to find goals, scoring just two in their opening two games, results that had cost them dearly as the oppositions had come back to draw 1-1 on both occasions.
To remedy that, Guinness is hoping that cash rewards for goals, will fire the Eagles to scoring more and killing off games, starting with Tuesday’s game against Ethiopia.
NFF President Aminu Maigari, who announced the cash incentive to the players, said he hoped it would spur them to go for the kill in subsequent games.
