Reps To Build, Name Auditorium After Speaker
A member of House of Representatives, Hon Ogbuefi Ozomgbachi said on Saturday that the House would build an auditorium at the Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, and name it after the Speaker, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal.

He said “Education is very important to the development of our nation. “Our education system is facing some challenges and that is why we are here today to support the Godfrey Okoye University and the Catholic Diocese of Enugu to make sure that our system does not collapse”.
He noted that government alone cannot provide all the infrastructure for quality education, saying that all hands needed to be on deck to assist the government.
The Acting Governor of Enugu State, Mr Sunday Onyebuchi, commended the university for its giant strides in promoting education for the growth and development of the youths.
He gave the assurance that the state would collaborate with the missionary to manage more schools in the state.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Rev. Fr Christian Anieke appealed to stakeholders to support the development of the university’s permanent site.
The Catholic Bishop of Enugu, Most Rev Callistus Onaga, attributed the achievements recorded by the university to the determination of both the management and students of the institution.
Onaga called for more investment in education to bring about the needed development of the country.
The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Most Rev Hassan Kukah urged Nigerian leaders and other stakeholders to revive and promote learning environment.
