Lobi, Hearthland Begin Super Four With Victories
The Nigeria Premier League Super Four started in Kano with 1-0 victories for Lobi Stars and Heartland on Wednesday.
In the first game of day one of the NPL Super Four, Federation Cup losing finalists, Lobi Stars Overcame League runners-up Rangers 1-0.
Okorie Daniel got the only goal in the game for Lobi in the 25th minute after catching Rangers defender Haliru Umar off-guard.
In the second game of the day, a 90th minute strike from Happy Okuoka helped Heartland stun NPL Champions Kano Pillars.
Heartland and Lobi Stars now sit jointly on top of the Super Four log.
The next round of matches will be played today and Rangers will face Heartland in an Oriental Derby while Lobi Stars will face Kano Pillars.
