Fans Celebrate Eagles Qualification In PH

Enthusiastic football fans in Port Harcourt, the  Rivers State capital yesterday lauded the Super Eagles of Nigeria for qualifying for the quarter final stage of the ongoing Orange African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Fans who spoke in a telephone interview with The Tidesports in Port Harcourt immediately after the match commended the soccer prowess exhibited by Eagles striker, Victor Moses who scored the  two goals against Ethiopia through penalties.

Eze S. A Ogbueri who spoke with Tidesports said that he was happy that God was on the side of Nigeria.

There was tension among Nigerian fans and I am happy that God was on the side of the Super Eagles of Nigeria”, Eze Ogbueri declared.

Eze Ogbueri who is a soccer philanthropist in Omuma Local Government Area, Rivers State urged the team to maintain their winning streak in subsequent matches

He paid glowing tribute to Super Eagles striker, Victor Moses who led the Super Eagles in the victory song.

Chime Nwankwo, described the Super Eagles performance as exceptional, considering their past matches in the continental engagement.

According to him, the team played very well and was technically sound to clinch victory.
