Chairman To Upgrade Tourist Centres
Chairman, Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Mr Jide Jimoh, says he will upgrade tourist centres in the community.
“This is part of our transformation agenda in 2013,” Jimoh said in an interview with newsmen in Lagos.
He said that management of the council had plans to upgrade some of the dilapidated tourist attractions within the council’s community.
Jimoh identified the centers to include Row Park Yaba, Casino House, and Ozone Cinema.
“These and many more are tourism potentials that the council could boost of, “ he said.
The chairman promised to pay attention in upgrading and improving the centers in order to make the community the best tourist destination.
“The current administration would ensure it rehabilitates the centers in order to reposition them for tourism potentials, “ he said.
Jimoh urged the federal and state governments to collaborate with local government chairmen nationwide in order to develope tourism in the country.
