Business Booms For PH Sand Suppliers
Suppliers of sand, one of the vital materials for building and construction, seem to be happy as their business season is now set with more money rolling into their pockets, unlike some months ago when construction activity appeared to have grounded.
With the onset of the dry season which favours building and construction activities, sand suppliers are now fully engaged in business, as some of them do not have time for themselves due to pressure to supply the material to building/project site.
Explaining the current wave of business in a chat with The Tide, one of the dealers, Sunday Achor, said that he goes home with between N7,000 and N17,000 without much stress, each day he goes out for supply.
For Mr. Amos Ike, one of the major challenges that they face in the cause of their business is distance between the place of purchase and the place of supply, where the transport cost will have to be built into the total landing price.
He said that the price will be mostly determined by the distance between the two places, pointing out that they supply a double axle truck at the cost between N28,000 and N35,000 depending on the distance.
