Union Hails RSG For Prompt Salary Payment
The Executive Governor of the state, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has been commended for the prompt December salary payment to civil servants.
The commendation was made in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt by the state chairman, Joint Public Service Negotiating Council, Comrade Chukwu Emecheta.
Comrade Chukwu said the governor has by this gesture put smiles on the faces of civil servants in the state and their various families.
He said this year’s Christmas would be well celebrated by civil servants with the prompt salary payment rather than civil servants borrowing to argument their Christmas celebration.
The union leader tasked the state government to maintain this prompt salary payment every 20th of each month to alleviate suffering of civil servants.
He enjoined the state government to maintain that salary of civil servants are not discriminately taxed and deducted.
Comrade Chukwu assured the state government of the continuous support of the entire civil servants towards the purposeful leadership of the state government under the leadership of Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
He called for adequate attention to beg given to the welfare of the civil servants in 2013 appropriation budget of the state government.
