RSG, Firm To Deliver 750 Houses

The Rivers State Government, in collaboration with TAF International, will deliver 750 housing units to Rivers people by next year, says the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of TAF International, Mr Mustapha Njie Mr Njie said this shortly after signing the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with the state government, Wednesday, in Port Harcourt.

Njie disclosed that his company considered the business environment in Rivers State as well as the human population for the housing project, adding that he intended to accomplish the mission by December next year.

“From today, there will be action, we will launch TAF Nigeria by January, and my confidence to invest in Nigeria is its population which is every businessman’s interest,” he said.

The Gambian revealed that about 90 million people seek for accommodation each year, adding that the 750 housing units in the state would be of a world class.

According to him, plans were also underway to ensure that low income earners benefit from the system.

He blamed cost of building on the high cost of building materials in the country, and disclosed that they were determined to ensure that no one was left behind.

Earlier, the chairman of the occasion, Engr Basil Omiyi, said the corporation (TAF) would use local labour to achieve its mission in the state and any other part of the country.

Omiyi hinted that the company had operated for about two years with maximum outcome in business.
