Rotary Club Presents Incubator To BMSH

The Rotary Club of Port Harcout, GRA District 9140 has donated an incubator to the Braithwait Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMSH).

The President of the Club Rotarian Virgina Major said that the gesture was to assist the hospital in the preservation of the lives of children.

Rotarian Major said that the club had also assisted the hospital in several areas in the past with a view to ensuring quality health care services to Rivers people.

She said that next year, the club would extend its activities to Okrika by equipping the Kalio Ama health centre, while a number of youths would be assisted to realise their potentials through a regular mentoring programme.

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt GRA President also said that programmes that would ensure peaceful coexistence among communities in the state would be organised.

The Chief Medical Director of the Braithwait Memorial Specialists Hospital (BMSH), Dr Ijerah Olukumi Yetunde said that the incubator would help in the padiatric section of the hospital.

Dr Yetunde said that the Club through its partnership with the hospital had built a blood bank. She also said that the gesture would help to strengthen the partnership between the club and the hospital in the area of quality health services to the people.

The Chief Medical Director however stressed the need for more incubators and other facilities and appealed to the general public for support.
