PH Residents In New Year Rush
The hustle and bustle witnessed in parts of Port Harcourt last week is expected to abate today as many residents of the city travel to their respective towns and villages to spend the New Year Day with their families.
The Federal Government last week declared December 25, 26, 2012 and January 1, 2013 as public holidays to celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivals.
Entertainment groups took advantage of the season to organise concerts and comedy shows with various streets holding Christmas parties in beautifully decorated places.
Work will resume nationwide on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
