Perm Sec Advises Staff On Dedication To Duty

Staff of the Ministry of Employment Generation and Empowerment have been advised to be more proactive in the discharge of their duties in order to ensure adequate service delivery that will move the ministry forward.

The Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr. Emmanuel Sunday Urang who said this during an interactive session with the staff of the ministry, enjoined them to respect due process in obedience to the civil service rules in the discharge of their duty for proper job performance.

Urang also urged the staff to be punctual and regular to work, and further advised them to always update their records and display identity cards during official hours for security purposes.

Responding to issues raised by the staff such as instituting government liaison offices in the companies, equipping staff offices with furniture and also to improve on the activities of the monitoring unit the Permanent Secretary promised that adequate attention would be given to them to enhance staff  efficiency.

He further enjoined the staff to ensure harmonious working relationship in order to rank the ministry higher in the scheme of things.

Speaking on behalf of the staff, the Director, Finance and Accounts in the ministry, Mr. Michael Egerton thanked the Permanent Secretary for finding time to interact with the staff and promised to sustain the cordial relationship to move the ministry to greater height.
