PDP Sells LG Chairmanship, Councillorship Forms

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State chapter has commenced the sale of Normation and Expression of Interest Forms for chairmanship and councillorship positions, preparatory to the forthcoming elections in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area as well as the bye-elections in Wards 1, 2, 5 and 6 of Opobo/Nkoro, Ahoada East, Asari-Toru and Eleme LGAs, respectively.

The state secretary of the party, Hon. Adokiye Oruwari in a press release said that the sale of forms which began on December 29, 2012 would end on January 5, 2012.

He stated that the forms would be available at the party’s secretariat, 23 Aba Road, Port Harcourt from 11.ooam daily, adding that chairmanship and councillorship aspirants should pay 1,100,000 and N250,000 respectively into Zenith and Sterling Banks for the collection of both forms.

He explained that the nomination form would be issued free-of-charge to all intending female chairmanship and councillorship aspirants, saying that “they will only pay for the Expression of Interest Form.”
