Okonjo-Iweala’s Mother Kidnapped In Delta

The mother of Professor Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was yesterday kidnapped in Ogwashiukwu, Delta State.

According to reliable sources, she was kidnapped at about 1.30 pm at her husband’s place at Ogbe-Ofu quarters in Ogwashiukwu by eight gunmen, who drove into the palace in two Audi cars.

Minister of Finance’s mother, is the wife of High Majesty, Prof Chukwuka Aniushi Okonjo Agbagidi, the incumbent Obi of ogwashi-Ukwu kingdom and she is a trained medical doctor.

The Delta State police command spokesman, Mr Charles Muka who confirmed the abduction said “Yes we (police) have got the information on the kidnap and we have also got info that will lead to the arrest of the hoodlums,” Delta Police PRO, Mr Charles Muka confirmed.

Security has beefed up at the palace and a manhunt for the queen is on.
