The pan-Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has condemned the court action instituted against its President General, Amb. Ralph Uwechue, by some aggrieved members.

In a communiqué in Enugu on Monday after its meeting, the organisation urged the plaintiffs to withdraw the case and mandated the Council of Chiefs to take up the issue and settle all matters relating to the lawsuit in-house.

The communiqué, signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Ralph Ndigwe, and Vice President-General, Dr Selina Adibua, passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Uwechue administration.

“The Imeobi (inner caucus) appreciates in glorious terms, the achievements of Ohanaeze under Amb. Ralph Uwechue.

The communiqué said the inner caucus received the report of the National Executive Committee (NEC), adopted and approved the guidelines.

It announced that the national election of the organisation would take place on or before January 15, 2013 at its national secretariat in Enugu while handover/takeover would take place by Jan. 31.
