NULGE Promises Improved Welfare For Workers
The newly elected Chairman of
Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ogu/Bolo branch, Comrade
Tamunoimama Woseley has vowed to ensure the implementation of new minimum wage,
the Junior Staff promotion that has been stagnated for about nine years as well
as the payment of the first batch of first 28-days this year.
Comrade Woseley made this assertion during her
post-election speech at the council’s secretariat premises Wednesday.
According to her, her administration would focus on
workers welfare and other issues that would put smiles on the faces of the
entire workforce and further assured that the confidence reposed on her
administration would be justified.
She thanked God Almighty for the victory as well as the
workforce for their moral support especially the derious departmental delegates
that made the election a huge success, and also solicited for their
co-operation and support to make her administration serve them better and
achieve set objectives.
The NULGE boss said the Union will work in synergy with
the management of the council to bring dividends of democracy to the doorsteps
of the people in the area and lauded the council Chairman Dame Maureen Tamuno,
the security personnel and others for logistic and security arrangements that
led to the peaceful and transparent election.
Other elected
include Comrades Thompson Samuel, Vice
Chairman, Ayo M.D.B. Pinge, Secretary, Laleb Wariboko, Auditor, Wisdom Daniel,
Assistant Secretary, Jerry Ayans Trustee and Victoria T. Ntasen-Treasurer.
They will be sworn-in on Monday, December 17, 2012.
The Head Personnel management (HPM) of the Council, Mr.
Christian Gen Oye, the Council Secretary, Chief Stephen Mina Omubo and State
NULGE welfare officer, Comrade Anthony Nebarato, who was the returning Officer
of the election among others.
Meanwhile, members of the Police Community Relations
Committee (PCRC) Ogu/Bolo Plice Division has congratulated Comrade Tamunoimama
Woseley on her victory as the NULGE Chairman, Ogu/Bolo Chapter during an
election held on Wednesday.
The body in a statement
signed by the Chairman, Hon. P.J. Wakama and the Secretary, Comrade Colins
Barasimeye said they are very proud of her as a member of PCRC in the area and
expressed optimism that she would use her wealth of experience to move the
workforce to greater heights, and prayed God to give her wisdom, protection and
strength to achieve her heart desire for the staff of the council.
