Mrs Ibim Semenitari announced this during a send-forth party organised in honour of 13 staff of the Ministry who retired recently from the state civil service.
The Commissioner who also used the forum to present awards to staff who performed creditably in the past one year stressed the need for hard work and commended the Director of Public Communications, Mr. Dike Onyije for helping the Ministry to actualise its staff of the year award.

Addressing the retirees, the Commissioner said “If you have worked honestly, conscientiously, I tell you God does not forget and he will reward your labour with love”.
According to her, “retirement is a promotion to a new level of being known as elder statesmen and women where your knowledge and expertise come to play, whether in your communities, church, socially or at government or private sector levels, depending on how well you worked while you were in the service and the opportunities will always open up for you”.
She lauded the retirees for servicing meritoriously for thirty-five years and wished them well in the years ahead.
Responding on behalf of the retirees, former Director of Infroamtion and Communication Technology (ICT), Mr. Blessing Wikina thanked the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Jokotade Adamu for the honour done them and described the Ministry under the current leadership as a great family.
