Labour Seeks Military Investigation Of Jaji Bombing

The organised labour has called on religious leaders in Nigeria to allow for full military investigation into the recent bombing at the Jaji military cantonment near Kaduna.

The President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) Comrade Peter Esele stated this after an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the union in Lagos.

Comrade Esele said that the religious coloration being introduced by some religious bodies was affecting the thorough military investigation into the bombing.

He said the military should be allowed to carry out both its internal and external statutory investigation on the bombing to be able to address the issues in the interest of Nigerians.

On the worsening insecurity in the country, the union Leader condemned the spate of kidnapping and other crimes in the country.

He urged the government to intensify effort to curb the menace, stressing that the continuous insecurity is hindering economic growth and investment.

It will be recalled that a bomb last explored at a military protestant church at the Armed Froces Command and Staff College. Jaji near Kaduna on November 25.
