Group Attributes Success To Website, Facebook Ownership
The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Rivers State chapter, has linked part of its success to the recent ownership of a website and facebook facilities.
The President of the association, Pastor Peter Harrison made this known while speaking with journalists in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
Harrison, said the facebook provision has enabled members to freely air out their views has concerning their schools as well as other issues of interest.
According to him, the social network also provided safe landing in the area of communication and quick feedback, while charging members to always make use of the service.
He further pushed that his association should be taxed free considering the level of social services it is rendering to the society.
The NAPPS boss, maintained that his group is not funded by the government, and should enjoy some privileges, adding that the suggestion to be registered with the ministry of commerce and industry is not alright with them.
In another development, subscribers in the state have threatened to dump the services of Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) for others should they fail to improve on their services.
A subscriber, Mrs Kate Abbey, said that the service provider is making business transaction difficult this yuletide due to poor service.
Abbey regretted that people could no longer make calls with ease, saying that urgent moves must be made by the operator in order to keep its customers.
Others who shared her view, pointed out that MTN services have been poor each festive period for about two years now.
According to them, MTN is a household name that must be maintained, no matter how stormy the weather might be.
It would be recalled that there was total service failure in the MTN service on Friday December 14, 202 due to some maintenance service going on in the company.
