FG Restates Commitment To Housing Dev
The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to making housing development in Nigeria a top priority in the scheme of things in its efforts to address the housing deficit in the country.
Speaking while commissioning the crown estate in Abuja, the Minister of lands, Housing and Urban Development, Ms Amal Pepple stated that housing was paramount in the agenda of Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in view of the importance of shelter to Nigerian.
According to her “we want to concentrate on providing houses for low income earners especially those in the informal sector and we believe that even if it’s for them, it shouldn’t be of low quality”.
The estate which was built by the Crown Realities Plc, comprises of detached and semi-detached houses as well as luxury condominiums with good finishes and facilities on three hectares of land.
The managing Director of Crown Realities, Mr. Darl Uzu said the estate was the firm’s way of registering its presence in the country’s property market, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and also to tackle the housing shortage in the country.
