CDC Chairman Warns Ogu Youths On Election

The Chairman, Ogu community  Development Committee (CDC) in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Mr Darick Igbiks Anga has warned against any form of thuggery or breach of the peace during the 2013/2014 Ogu Youth Congress  election, scheduled  for tomorrow.

Mr. Anga gave the warning Wednesday  while speaking with The  Tide reporter in Port Harcourt  after screening  the candidates vying  for the various offices  at Ogu.

According to him, the election, billed for tomorrow  at the local government premises  would be strictly for delegates  from the various houses and satellite communities in Ogu.

He said 40 delegates are expected to cast their votes through open  ballot system, and disclosed  that all necessary  security arrangements have been put  in place for a free, fair and transparent election.

The CDC Chairman  warned those that have nothing to do within  the area of the election to stay  clear as it is purely a delegates affair.

Anga also advised the candidates and the  delegates to exhibit high  level  of maternity during and after the  election for the interest  of the community.

Those vying for the office of President Samuel George, Gassius  Tamunosiki Abby, Precious Tende, Isikimama Williams, Alabo Sampson, Gbobo Amos, Taripaka, and Isacc Imbu, while Aberemieka Semeniworima and Matthias  Sogbenbia are contesting as Vice –President.

Mr. Caleb Golden, Michael Loveday Oba, Gaius Ada and Granville Atubokiki Michael  seek for the Secretaryship.
