Amaechi Cancels Town Hall Meeting

Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has cancelled his visit to Asari-Toru Local Government in his continued Local Government Town Hall meeting.

In a statement signed by the Chief of staff, Governemnt Huose, Hon. Tony C. Okocha, said the cancellation was in honour of Late Governor of Kaduna State Mr. Patrick Yakowa and the former national security adviser, Rtd General Owoeye Azazi who lost their lives in ill-fated chopper crash last Saturday in Okorobe, Nembe Local Government of Bayesla state.

Hon. Okocha said the State was still mourning the death of these illustrious Nigerians and have cancelled major government engagements.

He stated that a new date will be communicated soon and apologized to the good people of the state and Asari Toru Local Government Ara in particular for the cancellation.
