All Stars Side Eager To Partner League Clubs

Port Harcourt based all stars side, Goldashe United Football Club has said that it
would welcome genuine partnership with upcoming amateur teams vying for honours
at the local or national league.

The
President of the club, Mr. Fubara Kingsley Hart who disclosed this while
speaking with sports writers in Port Harcourt, opined that such partnership
would not only engender better performance but go a long way to enhance the
growth of football in the state.

He
said that one of the cardinal objectives of Goldashe United FC was to embark on
any cause that would popularize the game of football and advance the
performance of upcoming stars.

He
revealed that moral and financial support would be provided to such club with
clear cut extraction of maximum performance while the partnership lasted.

“It
is not just about fun and social interactions amongst us ex-professional
players; we are also here as our brothers keepers and assist members and
non-members alike in their quest to further professional careers in football”
averred the sports administrator.

Fubara
Kingsley Hart who works as Director of Finance and Administration at the Rivers
State Government House, Port Harcourt revealed that Goldashe had sponsored
grassroots football competitions and also assisted female club sides like
Garden City Queens of Port Harcourt in their league campaigns, adding that the
girls were actually training with Goldashe at their base in the Rivers State
University of Science and Technology (RSUST) before the club amended its
constitution to regularize the practice.

“As
an all female outfit, training side by side with men, more so retired
footballers, really did much to improve their games and that explained why
within the time they worked with us, they did very well in the league” said Mr.
Hart.

The Goldashe President also
disclosed that the club extended similar gesture to a female club side in Aba,
Abia State, noting that in all three occasions they played friendly matches
against the Abia team, Goldashe had assisted them with new set of kits.
