In a bid to provide seamless services to air travellers in Nigeria, Iberia has announced additional enhancements to the service connecting Nigeria and Spain, including more convenient flying times and improved entertainment options.

It would be recalled that three months ago the airline increased the number of Lagos – Madrid flights from three to four per week.

The Madrid-bound flights will be leaving Lagos at 00.20 hour-nearly four hours later than the current departure time- to arrive in Madrid Barajas Airport at 05.40 hours.

This schedule is more convenient both for passengers staying in Madrid those bound for any of Iberia’s more than 40 destinations in Europe, 30 in the rest of Spain and 22 in the Americas.

In addition, Business Class passengers will be offered iPads to access Iberia’s wide range of in-flight entertainment options which improves the quantity and quality of this service to our highly valued Iberia business class passengers.

The timetable charge will allow passengers arriving from Lagos to sue the Dali VIP lounge before their connecting flights to other destinations in Spain or elsewhere in Europe, while those bound for Americas can use the Velazquez lounge which is open 24 hours a day.

Kola Olayinka, country manager Nigeria for Iberia/British Airways said “We are constantly looking for ways of improving our services to our growing Iberia clintele, this is one of the series of improvements we have planned to ensure better service for our valued customers.”

Iberia now operates Lagos-Madrid return flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, using Airbus N319s with a Business club section featuring 55 cm-wide seats and 127 cm of separation between rows.

Iberia launched its service to Lagos in June, 2004 and is the sole airline with direct flights between Nigeria and Spain.
