Ex-junior international and Sharks football club of port Harcourt goal tender Ikechukwu Ezenwa who played second fiddle to Okemute Odah last season says he is ready to claim the number one shirt of Sharks FC.

Ezenwa, who stated this shortly after a training session at the weekend attributed his new confidence status to the level of training the team has had in the last one week in Calabar which he said is going according to plan.

“The training is going according to plan that is why I believe am ready for this 2012/2013 season that that will get underway any moment from now and from the way things are going at the training session I can’t wait to get between the sticks,” Ezenwa said

I.K as he is fondly called by team mates has already set his eyes on picking valuable points on the road next season.

“Yea I believe everything is from God and when I put my best it will move the team forward and most importantly making sure that I secure away win and draws for my team by having a clean slate,” Ezenwa said.

His primary objective is to stay focus so as to prevent the loss of concentration that led to sharks inability to clinch a ticket last season.

“Well if may say we lost concentration towards the end of the season when things was going well for us all of a sudden we lost concentration and it affected the team.”

I believe if we concentrate and allow everything to come the normal way and leave everything to God I believe Sharks FC will end the forth coming season smiling,” Ezenwa added.
