Dolphins Can Win Again- GM

General Manager of Dolphins FC, Dumbor Awanen, has said he believes that the current team being assembled is good enough to win a trophy next season.

Dumbor said the restructuring of the team is complete and they are all ready and rearing to go.

“Good thing a lot of key officials of the team remained so the continuity is there but we had to do away with some players, coaches and other staff in order to get what we want,” Awanen said.

“The truth is that everyone who is now a part of Dolphins knows the task ahead and the plan is to at least get back to the continent next season if we cannot win a trophy. We have what it takes to do that and that is what we are working at. There is no target for the technical crew but it is a collective target for the team. All of us know we have to work hard.

“At end of the last season we felt we did not do well and there was an urgent need to reposition the team. We are happy we have concluded all that now and we can only wait for the season tos tart to see how far we have moved forward as a team.”

Dolphins finished in 11th position last season and may have been relegated on the last day had they not won against Rising Stars in Port Harcourt.
