VC Bags NIM Fellowship Award
The Acting Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of
Education, Prof. Rosemund Dienye Green-Osahogulu was among persons conferred
with the prestigious fellowship award by the Nigeria Institute of Management
(Chartered) on Monday.
The award took place during the 2012 Annual National
Management Conference of the Institute held at the International Conference
centre, Abuja.
The award is in recognition of her commitment to the vision
of the institute and as an educationist and administrator par excellence.
The Vice Chancellor while responding on behalf of other
awardees thanked the institute for the honour done them.
At a reception later held in honour of Prof. Rosemund
Osahogulu at Wakkis Restaurant, Aminu Kano Crescent , Wuse Zone 2 Abuja, the
head of St. John’s Diobu Campus of IAUE, Dr. Vincent Asuru said that for the
Vice Chancellor to have been singled out for the award shows that there is no
hiding place for the golden fish.
He stated that her positive contributions to the University,
her exemplary leadership attributes and conduct have earned her the
recognition.
The elated VC in her appreciation enjoined IAUE NIM members
to put into practice what they learnt at the conference, adding that very soon,
membership of NIM would be a criteria for staff appointment into headship of
units in the university.
She advised staff of the university to key into the NIM
vision which she opined will make them good leaders.
In his vote of thanks, the Registrar of IAUE, Barr. Ikem
Adiele remarked “it is good to rejoice with people when something good happens
to them” and thanked the staff for finding time to rejoice with the Vice
Chancellor.
The occasion was also used to felicitate with Dr. T.N.
Agina-Obu, a lecturer ad and associate professor in IAUE, whose birthday
coincided with the award reception.
