Travel Agents Move To Promote Tourism In W’Africa
The National Association of Nigerian Travel Agents (NANTA)
has expressed willingness to partner with Akwaaba African Travel Market to grow
the tourism and travel fair on West Africa.
Akwaaba African Travel Market is the only event in West
Africa that brings together travel experts from many countries of the world.
The event which will take place at Eko Hotel and Suites from October 22 to 24,
2012 is a meeting place for airlines, hotels, resorts, tourism boards, national
parks destination marketers, travel and tour operators within this period.
The Publicity Secretary of NANTA, who is also the Chief
Executive Officer of Zigona Travel and Tours Ltd, Mrs Ngozi Ngoka said “Akwaaba
is our own home-grown World Travel Market (WTM) and because it meets international
standards. Being a member of the international association, it provides our
members an alternative to other global fair.
Meanwhile, Airbus has launched its business jet, Airbus ACJ
319 in Abuja as Nigeria has been designated the fastest growing jet market in
Africa by aircraft manufacturers and lessors.
The Airbus ACJ 319 operated by ComLux crew was received at
Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by Cita-Triax Aviation Limited
recently.
According to the sales Director, Americas and Africa Airbus
Corporate Jets, Laurent Goutal, the aircraft has sitting capacity for 19
passengers and is available for VIP charter.
