Super Eagles Gear Up For Liberia Clash
Goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim led 22 other domestic players into
camp on Sunday as preparations kick in for next week’s meeting with Liberia.
Coach Stephen Keshi welcomed the players in and training is
expected to resume on Monday morning at the training pitch of the National
Stadium in Abuja.
The next phase of the team’s camping will be when the
foreign based players arrive for the trip to the match venue in Calabar, Cross
Rivers State.
Agbim says the team is in the right frame of mind for the
game against the Lone Star of Liberia, declaring that the strength of the team
can only improve when the foreign based players arrive.
“We can handle the pressure, because we have been doing that
but both home and foreign based players have a singular goal and that is the
ticket for the Nations Cup in South Africa.”
