RSNC GM Underscores Importance Of Show Biz

The General Manager of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), Mr Celestine Ogolo has said that the development of the entertainment industry in Opobo/Nkoro will help the youths to discover their talents.

Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the Opobo/Nkoro Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Mr Ogolo said that show business is what every youths in Opobo/Nkoro need to develop their talent, stressing that the spiraling effect of the situation will affect every households, thereby checking youth unemploy-ment in the area.

The general manager commended the youth body for its excellent programmes for the area and assured of the preparedness of the corporation to partner with them especially in the area of publicity.

Earlier, the president, National Youth council of Nigeria (NYCN) Opobo/Nkoro chapter, Dr Sofiri .S. Peterside (Jnr) said that the visit was to solicit the support of the corporation for its forthcoming Miss Opobo/Nkoro Beauty Pageant and other activities.

Dr Sofiri (Jnr) said that the idea is to discover more talents in the area as well as boost entertainment across the length and breadth of the Local Government Area.

He said that the visit would help to cement the relationship between the youth body and the corporation in the area of publicity and other assistance.

Dr Peterside used the occasion to condole the corporation for the recent fire incident that engulfed the corporation’s building.
