JNI Tasks FG On Improved Healthcare
The National Headquarters of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), on
Sunday advised the Federal Government to improve existing health care
facilities in the country to prevent unwanted loss of lives.
Dr Khalid Aliyu, JNI Secretary General, gave the advice in a
press statement issued in Kaduna shortly after returning from a condolence
visit to the family of late Dr AbdulLateef Adegbite in Lagos.
“We want the government to ensure that our health
institutions provide world class medical services while our health and medical
personnel adopt best international practices to save lives,’’ he said.
Aliyu described Adegbite as a “bridge builder among
Nigerians, irrespective of creed or tribe, and whose selfless and patriotic
services were most needed at the time of his demise”.
He said Nigerians should emulate the fatherly and
nationalistic role played by the late Islamic leader to further strengthen the
bond of unity and prosperity of the country.
He called for the immortalisation of the deceased because of
his patriotic and unifying services to the country.
Aliyu also urged the Federal Government, security agencies
and other stakeholders to evolve a more pragmatic and strategic approach to
tackle current security challenges.
Khalid, who led the management team of the JNI for the
condolence visit, were received at the residence of late Adegbite by his eldest
son, Mr Oladipupo Adegbite, who commended the organisation for the visit.
The team also commiserated with the widow, Alhaja Medinat
Adegbite, and other family members over the death and prayed Allah to grant the
deceased eternal rest.
