Court Restrains RSG Over Ogbakiri Stool …Justice Diepiri Loses Mother
A Port Harcourt High Court presided over by Justice E. Teetito has restrained the Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs from making any recommendation to the State Government concerning the Nye-Nwe-Eli chieftaincy stool of Ogbakiri community in Emohua Local Government Area pending the determination of the notice.
Also restrained in the order are the state Council of Traditional Rulers and the Chairman of Emohua Traditional Council of Chiefs.
Justice E. Teetito issued the order after hearing an exparte motion in suit No. PHC/1974/2012, moved by the claimant, HRH Eze Gabriel Okwelle, the Nye-Nwe-Eli, Rumuoro-Ogbakiri through his counsel, F.J. Abigo Esq.
In their separate addresses, counsels promised the court that their clients would abide by the order of the court and maintain the status quo pending the determination of the substantive suit.
Meanwhile, a judge in the state High Court, Justice Boma Diepiri has lost his mother, Mrs Ruth Gordon Ogolo she was aged 76 years old.
Late Mrs Ruth Ogolo popularly called “Ela” was a devoted Christian in the Christ Army Church Faith.
