As part of its support scheme to the less-privileged in the
society, the Omega Power Ministries (OPM) has donated a free two-bedroom flat
to Mrs Nnenna Okata, a widow from Nkpukpohia Community, in Ukwa East Local
Government area of Abia State.
Commissioning the free house last week at Nkpukpoha
Community, the General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere said the
gesture was part of the church’s special programme of assisting the
less-privileged members of the Church.
The General Overseer noted that several gesture of that sort
have been executed, adding that an estate has also been built at Aluu and other
places for the less-privileged.
“The decision to embark on the housing project was informed
by the love of Jesus Christ to assist the less-privileged in the society he
said, noting that when they are empowered, they would in turn build the
Church”.
The man of God emphasised the need for the privileged to
assist the less-privileged in the society as a show of love which is divine.
The 67-year-old widow, whose joy had no bound thanked the
General Overseer, the Church and the almighty God for the gesture, stressing
that “it is only God that can bless Apostle Chinyere adequately.
She said the mud house she was living before the new house
was at the verge of collapse while she had not money to replace it before the
legasse of the church came to her rescue.
Also expressing gratitude, the son of the widow, Mr.
Nkemakolam Okere said since he was born, he had never seen a thing like that
and commended the man of God for assisting the family, stressing that the
