Some subscribers in Rivers State has said that they have
concluded plans to dump the Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) for other
network providers due to its failure to improve on services.

The subscribers who spoke with The Tide in Port Harcourt on
Wednesday said the services of MTN became worst since last week.

According to one Emma Ogo, since last week efforts to
recharge or make calls have been an uphill task due to poor network.

Ogo said the network provider (MTN), is only interested in
promos that will accrue profit to it, saying that it was high time subscribers
in the state dumped them for others.

He explained that the poor service provider may be a ploy by
the company to successfully retrieve the balance of their 500 percent airtime
at midnight.

Ogo who is a lawyer regretted that concerned authorities
have failed to regulate the operations of MTN, adding that MTN should quit the
country if it is tired of business.

Another speaker who gave her name as Princess Iyie, said the
network provider has no regard for its subscribers.

Iyie, who also vowed to change to other network, maintained
that MTN should leave the country or be forced to improve on its services.

She reiterated that the teeming subscribers in the country
especially Rivers State do not enjoy the value of the money used to recharge
MTN’s airtime.

The middle aged lady, also suggested that a ban should be
placed on MTN not to sell more SIM cards until efforts are made to enhance its
services.

It would be recalled that since Saturday last week,
subscribers of MTN have been finding it difficult to make or receive calls.

A source in the company, who pleaded anonymity, said the
company is planning seriously to ensure that its services are improved in no
distant time.
