RSG Launches 2013 Yellow Pages Directory

The Rivers State Ministry of Commerce and Industry has re-affirmed its determination to transform the business climate and promise business activities in the state with the introduction of the 2013 Yellow Pages Directory.

According to a statement by the Commissioner, Mr Chuma Chinye, at his office in Port Harcourt, the Directory is designed to list all businesses duly registered with the Registrar of Business Places in the state.

Mr Chinye stated that the Yellow Pages Directory is comprised of three versions – the Hard Copy (Yellow Pages), the Disc Version (DVD) and the Web Directory (online).

“These versions are deliberately created for easy use by all persons, each with its peculiar advantage”, the Commissioner added.

Describing the Yellow Pages Directory as one of the most beneficial programmes to the business community in Rivers State, including prospective investors, the Commissioner stated that the Directory would promote the visibility of businesses operating in the state and expose them to a wider global audience.

The Commissioner emphasized that the Directory is one of the most impactful programmes of the Ministry,  adding that it would remain a long time variable medium for business outreach and networking.

He asserted that the Directory shall not only provide opportunity to enhance credibility of registered businesses, but wall also serve as a platform for showcasing goods and services of interested businesses that may subscribe accordingly.

Mr. Chinye expressed the belief that the opportunities offered by the Directory would prove beneficial not only to listed businesses, but also to the consumers of the goods and services of the businesses who will find the information and details provided in the Directory useful.

The Commissioner urged business operators and the public to avail themselves of the opportunity, stated that the Ministry would embark on mass enlightenment on the numerous benefits of the Yellow Pages Directory to business operators and the public to watch out for the unique Three-fold Directory.
