PHCCIMA Opens Chambers In LGs
The Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) says it had commenced the establishment of chambers in local government areas in line with its objectives of promoting and diversifying business and investment in the state.
Already, two have been established in Eleme and Bonny LGAs while the third is about to be opened in Egi in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA.
President of PHCCIMA, Vincent Furo stated this last Tuesday while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt.
Furo, said the essence of setting up chambers in the local government areas was to attract good businessmen and women as well as quality products from local manufacturers and importers.
According to him, PHCCIMA was instrumental in the establishment of the Yenagoa chamber of commerce.
Explaining the reason for the strong relationship between PHCCIMA and Total as well as the planned visit of French businessmen to Rivers State next year, Furo said members of PHCCIMA have business relationship with many French firms.
