Party Assures On Democracy Dividends
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bamanga Tukur expressed the party’s commitment to delivering dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
Tukur, who stated this when the Benue chapter of the party paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja, promised that the Federal Government would harness the abundant natural resources in the country to improve the standard of living of Nigerians.
He stressed the need to give priority to education, saying it “is the bedrock of development in any nation’’.
He also stressed the need for attention to be given to agriculture, adding that as the highest employer of labour, it would go a long way in alleviating the suffering of Nigerians.
“ The party is committed to creating job opportunities for Nigerians, especially the youths to avoid restiveness.
“ It is the priority of the party, also, to empower women to be self-employed without necessarily waiting for government jobs,” he said
The chairman expressed optimism that with dialogue and diplomacy, Nigeria would overcome the current security challenges.
He urged Nigerians to support the government in its efforts to make the country a better place for everybody.
