The State Chairman, National Union of Petroleum and National
Gas Workers (NUPENG) Comrade Godwin Eruba has appealed for adequate Petroleum
products supply to the state in order to meet the daily need of consumers.

Comrade Eruba stated
this while speaking to newsmen in Port
Harcourt recently.

He said the current long queues witnessed at the various filling
stations in some parts of the state were as a result of the inadequate supply
of the petroleum product to the state. Comrade Eruba said members of the
Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) of the Union are enduring the deplorable Eleme
road to load the product at the Port Harcourt Refinery Depot.

He appealed to the authorities of the Petroleum Pipeline
Marketing Company (PPMC) to increase the quota for the state to address the
hardship currently faced by motorists.

The Union’s Chairman said the union will properly monitor
the distribution and discharge of the product by the various independent
marketers to reduce the people’s hardship.
