MTN Donates Security Vehicles To Anambra

The MTN Foundation has donated five security vehicles to the
Anambra State Government.

The presentation was witnessed by all the members of the
state executive council, who broke the weekly council meeting to receive the
donation.

Making the presentation, the Director of MTN Foundation, Mr
Akinwale Goodluck, said the gesture was to appreciate and identify with the
success story of Governor Peter Obi’s administration.

Akinwale said Obi’s style of governance had brought a new
definition to governance in the state and the country, adding that the governor
had demonstrated unparalleled passion for issues that concern the state and had
created an enabling environment for business to flourish.

He explained that the vehicles were part of the package the
company had for the state while sustainable measures had been put in place to
ensure that the vehicles were maintained.

Responding, Obi thanked the foundation for the gesture and
said that MTN had previously identified with the state in health and sanitation
programmes.

He said that security had remained the top priority of his
administration, noting that the donation was timely while also assuring that
the state government would send the vehicles to various communities.

The governor asked the foundation to partner with the state
in areas of education and environmental challenges.
