The Presiding Elder of the Board of Elders Forum of Faith
Tabernacle Congregation Nigeria, Pastor Marshal Wellington Bara has enjoined
Christians to be sober and patient while waiting for Christ’s coming in order
to be delivered from the wrath of God.

Pastor Bara gave the advice in his address at the Board of
Elders meeting held at the National Headquarters, Aba, Abia State recently.

According to him, “believers must not fear the day of the
Lord, but must be sober and patient while waiting for Jesus Christ who will
come for deliverance.

The clergyman, who admonished believers on the topic; “you
are not in darkness”, said “let no one claim to be ignorant of what is
happening in the society today as Christ’s coming is imminent”, and enjoined
them to remain steadfast.

“We must be spiritually prepared in order to escape the
wrath of the Lord. We must continue in faith, love and hope for salvation”, he
said.

He noted that as children of God Christians should cry out
sincerely against unrighteousness and remain faithful in the Lord.

Pastor Bara, also called on believers to abstain from the
evil pleasures of this world which seek to destroy their souls.

In his remarks, the International Presiding Elder of the
Church in United States of America [USA], Pastor Kenneth Yeager described the
exhortation as very timely, especially considering the times we are in.
