Woman Commits Suicide In Enugu
The Enugu State Police Command, has commenced investigation
into the circumstances that led to the alleged suicide of a 45-year-old woman.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Ebere Amarizu, on Monday in Enugu.
It said that the deceased, identified as Angelina Ezenta, committed the act on August 3 at Umuawalagu, Nara in Nkanu East Local Government.
It said that the deceased was the wife of Mr Thomas Ezenta
of Odume in Aninri LGA, and was said to have hanged herself on a short tree not
too far from the main road.
It said that the husband had been looking for Angelina whom
he said was 45-years-old and had been having some mental problem.
It said that Ezenta claimed that the woman left home to an
unknown destination until report about the incident reached him.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been taken to Agbani
General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
